The boots are the best combination of waterproof/grip/style that I could find. Many snow boots are too bulky, and make transportation difficult. These tend to pack well. They are also very warm and easy to put on.

If you think Uggs are only for women, think again. First of all, ignore the picture with the fur folded over. No man wears them like that. Lace them all the way up. The Butte's are not bulky like some of the other cheaper one's you see at sporting goods stores. These are very warm. I have worn them in single digits and 8 inches of snow. They very comfortable and incredible traction in the snow and ice. They are expensive. I paid full price but later did a google search and found them cheaper online. Bummer for me but you should do your own research to get the best price. I highly recommend them.
