I really do enjoy these boots and will buy them again. However, My friend bought another style of UGGs and the fur was through out. These come with a fur insert but its kind of weak but the normal insert is comfy.

These boots are great for those that can't take the winter weather anymore.Snow and rain don't penetrate these HARTFIELD boots. So far I can find nothing wrong with the boots. If there were you better buy UGG because their customer service is fabulous. Don't ever be afraid to buy UGG or invest in their quality. Just make sure you ask the proper questions so you get the proper fit and size. Retailers don't have all the answers so make a call to an UGG representative to stay out of trouble. Thanks UGG!

My first pair of boots which I purchased for primarily city and around town use. They are extraordinarily comfortable and warm, without being too warm. I'm not really sure how they did it, but the advertising was true to form that they actually don't make your feet sweat, which was a chief concern of mine.
That being said, the boots came with two pair of insoles, one leather and one sheepskin, which I believe are supposed to be used separately. When I just had the leather or sheepskin in there, the boot felt comfortable, but half a size too big. I put them both in (sheepskin on top) and now the boots feel much better for long walks. Living in SF I walk 3 miles roundtrip to work, and up and down some very steep hills, so it's important my feet don't slide in the boots. I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be done with the insoles, and I'm happy it worked out.

Q:
Just purchased a pair of the Hartsville boots yesterday from a local retailer in Memphis, TN, USA--the seal color. Two questions:
1) I just saw the suggestion to use a leather cleaner/conditioner on the leather upper. Would you recommend putting polish on the leather upper at any point? If so, what color and/or brand of polish would you suggest?
2) The sales clerk said the boots would last "three seasons." I think that might be true for Uggs that are completely covered with suede, but these are mostly leather. Can I expect them to last for several years given proper use and care?
