Comments about Rockville II:
I have two pairs of the original Rockvilles, one 10.5 in black and the other 9.5 in dune. I found the 10.5 to be too big, but by doubling up the sheepskin over the leather insole, it fit just fine. The 9.5 fit perfectly, and the black 10.5's became my go-to footwear of choice for my motorcycle. It's not the warmest boot, as the upper leather is very thick, but not sheepskin, so socks are required. But somehow wearing a boot like this with no socks seems wrong anyways, and omitting a sheepskin upper helps keep the boot's profile low and classy (the driskill suffered aesthetically for that as well as the general difficulty of maintaining the sheepskin upper in a working boot)
I've worn these boots with and without rain covers, in harsh seattle winter motorcycle riding in rain, snow, and sun, and these are truly the most waterproof things I've ever seen. The problem of the non-sealed side never became an issue for me, but it has been fixed with the new iteration of the Rockville sold now. The heel design is about a 3/4 inch heel, and actually sits on a bike's pegs perfectly on top of the arched ugg logo, which I've found from moving around, is actually one of the best vibration-dampening boots I've owned. I also am the type who gets bored and will drag his feet along the asphalt, and while I've worked a small bevel into the heel, yet again, the sole is tough as nails. I also have a pair of driskill uggs, and the vibram sole on them has worn almost completely flat from this activity that hasn't made the rockville bat an eyelash. The comfort and range of motion is just fantastic for a full ankle boot. They're quite heavy, but If they weren't, they would probably be junk. This boot is heavy, but it's meant to be, as it's overbuilt to the moon and back.
I do prefer the elasticated sides of the driskill to the rockville, the buckles are pretty much decorative, though they are slightly adjustable and have worn fabulously, as well as giving you more security in keeping the boot in place on your arch. The problem is that under jeans, they can look a little weird if you roll your feet around a bunch, due to the large opening required to get your foot in, but this is a very minor complaint, as I'm sure the durability is the main goal of these boots. If you wear relaxed jeans, it won't be a problem. I wear levis 514 slim straights, so that might be the reason.
Daily wear wise, these boots are extremely comfortable to wear and walk around in all day. They obviously aren't built to breathe, but they still somehow manage to do so decently. Even in the summer here in Seattle, these boots are never out of place under your jeans. Classy and understated, they're casual, rugged, and dressy all at once. With jeans, these boots fit in everywhere.
And the final reason I have to give these boots the absolute highest of praise, is that I've lowsided (crashed) on the left side twice in three years of almost daily wear. The boots hit the ground hard from 45 and 35mph respectively, and are barely even scuffed. The shell is hard and yet pliant, and there is enough padding between the sheepskin and your ankle that I was able to stand up, pick up my bike, and ride it home. And after all that, these boots still wear like champions. I was iffy on uggs before, but the rockville in particular has proven that these aren't just trendy boots, they actually stand up to the real world. They're by no means a track-ready boot, but they've proven their worth when the time came to do so, and I've worn them in daily riding on everything from cafe racers to superbikes and everything in between, and they manage to be completely understated and at the same time, superbly classic and attention-drawing. my dune colored 9.5's still look brand new, and my old, horribly abused 10.5's only just look broken in.
Size wise, I'm about a 10.5, and I've found that everything from ugg, teva, tsubo, and ahnu fits me perfectly in a 9.5 (slippers fit as a 10. I buy almost exclusively from deckers nowadays for the quality and customer service)
included in the pictures is the dune 9.5 to show how nice these look when worn -normally-, and the black 10.5 to show what they look like when you abuse them mercilessly (no ugg care products for either one, though I would suggest it in hindsight) The black one was the asphalt side in two bike accidents, look carefully at the lower buckle to see the extent of the damage it sustained. The rest was on the outer ball of the foot, which has since just blended into the rest of the boot's wear. The only difference between the rockville 1 pictured and the 2 that's available is that the crease on the outer edge is sewn shut on the 2 (an improvement) and the two are otherwise identical.
My complaints are very minor, but are the wide upper required to be a slip-on shoe, and that the boot would have been downright perfect if the buckles had been integrated a bit more functionally speaking, particularly the upper to provide a more snug fit above the ankle.
Overall, if you have the money to spend on a boot, and like the vintage cafe racer style, these boots will get hundreds of compliments and will certainly perform beyond expectation.

Comments about Rockville II:
Delivery was a little disappointing, but the boot was worth the wait. Unbelievably comfortable and stylish in every way. I am a firefighter on my feet all day and sure would like this feeling on my work shoes. Might try a different style that conforms with our uniforms in the near future.

Comments about Rockville II:
I got these for my husband for Christmas. He isn't a big UGGS person and when he saw the box he had an "uh oh" look on his face. Once he got a look at these and then put them on he LOVED them! They look like biker boots. Not like UGGS at all! And they were comfortable right out of the box. I think we have an UGGS convert on our hands!

Comments about Rockville II:
Never thought I would be an Ugg person, thought they were fine for women, but only because they were practical.
I am a 36 year old man. These are the best boots I've ever had. My friends all want boots like mine, and are stunned when I tell them that they're Uggs. They are not just bad weather boots, you get regular and shearling insoles, and they are very hip looking. Im a convert.

Comments about Ugg Rockville II:
I got my first pair of these a few years ago and they are still in great shape. I live on the Pacific Northwest coast, so warm weatherproof boots are necessary year round. I have worn these nearly every day through rain, ice, mud, horseback riding, hiking, farming, etc. and they are still in great shape. Plus I have many foot issues, and the comfort and support in these boots is ideal. The only reason I am getting a new pair is so I can have a "clean" pair for going out on the town.
